The first bell hasn’t even rung, but Sam Houston is already alive. Backpacks bounce down the hallway. Teachers welcome students by name. Someone in the office is helping a parent. A child needs a little extra encouragement before walking into class.

All across our campus, in a hundred small ways, people are noticing people.

That is the heart of a school.

And it is a philosophy that feels very familiar to our friends at Pros PM.

Pros PM is a locally owned, family-run business with a people-first philosophy and a strong belief in the power of “we.” Taylor Brakefield, Pros PM Founder and CEO, has used those values to help shape not only how they do business, but how they show up for the people and communities they call home.

 For the Pros PM family, the connection to Sam Houston is personal. Their ties to the school include Taylor’s children who walk these halls every day, her PTA involvement, and campus volunteering. Many of the team members have backgrounds in public school and higher education. They understand that caring for a school ultimately means caring for the people inside it.

That connection has created a relationship with Sam Houston that reaches beyond a traditional sponsorship. Pros PM has supported our PTA, teachers, staff, and students in ways both big and small. Sometimes that means helping meet a tangible need. Other times, it means giving their time, sharing their talents, or simply asking: “How can we help?”

 That question means more than they may ever fully know.

Our children may go home to different doors at the end of each day, but while they are here, they are all Sam Houston Texans. Caring for our school means caring for all of them—and for the teachers, staff, families, and volunteers who work each day to create a community of learners where every child can feel seen and valued, and know that they belong.

With community partners like Pros PM beside us, we can reach a little farther, care a little deeper, and say yes to needs we could not meet alone.

Pros PM’s tagline is “Focused on Community. Obsessed with Your Success.” At Sam Houston, those words feel especially meaningful. They see people. They see the need. And when they can help, they do.
